There was no shortage of fake blood, gaping wounds, or dangling appendages at the 2010 Zombie Crawl on Saturday, October 23. The masses marched down 16th Street Mall dressed in zombie attire, sighting everything from brides and businessmen, to hospital workers and inpatients, to even a zombie Santa Claus, Mary Poppins, Bob Ross and Where's Waldo! The annual event had a record-number of attendees reaching over 7,000 zombies!

Boulder's Tee & Cakes turns 3! Happy Caketöberfest!

YUMMMMMMMMM.....

Saturday night marked Boulder's Tee & Cakes third birthday! :) Friends and proud owners Kim & Brian celebrated in style, serving Great Divide beer & cupcake pairings! My taste buds were very happy.

Oddly enough, despite all the buzz, it was my first time to the shop! I had tasted the goods when they fed our whole clan at Dave's surprise birthday party, and again when I was surprised with Parisian Macrons after my trip to France (SCORE). And tonight, let's just say, their party followed suit, packing a surprising amount of good food and friends all under one roof.

Maybe you've heard of Tee & Cakes before...on the Food Network's Unwrapped!!! They were featured just before I hopped on board. Ever had a bacon cupcake??? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdtvyU7VsDU

If you're in Boulder, stop by, the shop is just off of Pearl St. Mall on 14th.

See what they're bakin' up this week! :)

Jet Hotel was the place to be Friday night as Holly Montag of MTV's "The Hills" celebrated her 27th birthday in the upstairs lounge, and Denverites toasted to the occasion. With beats by DJ Mada, an appearance by Ali Pierre, and a special live performance by MTV recording artist Black Prez, there were plenty of reasons to party late into the night! And the masses came dressed to impress. If you weren't there guzzling down cocktails or ordering bottle service at this chic party stop, check out these pics to see what you missed.

Denver's Got Talent

I worked the America's Got Talent auditions in Denver last weekend. It was fun seeing some of Denver's most talented (and not so talented) give their all for the chance to be on TV and win $1,000,000! While many of my peers spent the day registering the masses and handing out release forms, I was lucky to work inside the audition room and operate the DV Cam.

It was a beautiful thing to watch the hopefuls sing / play / dance their hearts out in front of me, through the window of a 4 x 3 LCD screen. Some had clearly been preparing for weeks, while others had probably thought, "heck, it's Saturday, why not?" Each applicant had some level of talent, and an honorable passion that they were proud to share with the world. By auditioning on that day, they were just one step closer to making their dream come true. Kudos to them.

It was also exciting to see how another show and production company operates. Dozens of people fly out from LA to conduct these auditions! Different than the summer I spent several consecutive months on the road to produce content, what a cool gig to get to travel each week and have a life back home. Rather than working on the projects remotely, as I do now, I was inspired to learn this crew gets to get their hands and feet wet at every event.

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...

Spent Saturday zooming around the Highlands and checking out the local watering holes...

And then hitting up Crisis, Dave's sister's boyfriend's new skate shop!

There may be snow in the mountains, but summer isn't over yet!

What a perfect excuse for a getaway.
