I've gotta say, I was pretty stoked to be invited back to KOREA! I lived in Korea for four summers teaching English, and when I left, I always knew I'd be back...next time, with my video camera! Sure enough, here I was, video camera in hand, back on Korean soil! Funny how things work out. It was a true blessing to be able to capture a few highlights of Seoul and create videos for Viator! It was an awesome mix of delicious food, Korean palaces, shopping and sights. I wish I could have stayed longer, but, I guess I'll just have to come back another time! :P Here's what I got up to...it's totally worth grabbing some popcorn and having date with YouTube! :) Travel to Seoul, South Korea with TravelingJules Seoul - Small-Group Korean Night Food Tour Gyeongbokgung Palace Seoul - City Sightseeing Seoul - Jogyesa Temple Seoul - Insadong Seoul - North Seoul Tower / Namsan Tower

I always love taking the time to meet up with my travel video pals--whereever in the world that may be! This year, the reunion is in San Francisco--Women's Travel Fest is where it's at! Our community is growing fast, so it's nice to see our core team of chicks just killing it!! There are few opportunities to see my network of video blogger friends in the flesh, so I take every chance I can get to pow wow with my pals. Cheers to old friends and new ones too!
Here's a little story I filmed with the talented Travel with Kate for Expedia!
We worked right up until the last second to deliver this right after the event!
One thing I learned, if ever in doubt, just wash it out, dance it out. :P
Got the chance to work on a super fun show for the Cooking Channel called Taco Trip! Imagine Diners, Drive-ins and Dives with a Latin twist! Such a fun show with muchas style and flair--and plenty of moments that will make your mouth water.
The ice bucket challenge has gone viral!!! And, let's face it, there are far worse things we could be watching on the internet than frame after frame of our friends dumping ice cold water over their heads, right? As much as I chain letter in modern day time. But, hell, in the name of charity, it's a great excuse to give a little to a good cause...So, without further ado, here goes nothing!
Hot off the PRESS! A few words of advice for fellow travelers plus some stand-out stories from my adventures on the road. Check out the TRIPFILMS blog for Twelve Travel Questions with TravelingJules! Go to: http://blog.tripfilms.com/?p=544
Whatever you do, don’t think about what time it is back at home. Change your clocks right away so it’s easy to adjust to the new time zone and never look back.
3. What is the first thing you do when you get to a new place?
Seek out adventure! I always try to schedule in some free time to take a walk, wander around, do a little people watching, take a few photos, make friends with the locals, and explore.

4. What place has the best food? The worst food?
Hands down, Thailand has the best food. Every meal was better than the last. I took a cooking class and learned some recipes to take home as souvenirs. Mmm! The worst food? The first time I went to Korea, I was really not a big fan of the food. Spicy octopus dishes and kimchi was not my thing. It really took some time to develop my palate. But, once I tasted bulgogi and kalbi (Korean BBQ), I was sold. Now, Korean food is at the top of my list for food! Mashisoyo!
5. What is one place that changed your outlook on life?
Thailand. This is where I learned how to fly by the seat of my pants, how to find comfort in the unknown, how to survive in a totally exotic place, how to trust others and how to trust in myself. I pushed myself to get out of my comfort zone and try new things, and I was brilliantly rewarded.
I made the spontaneous decision to book the trip after finding fun traveler friends while teaching English in Korea. We went on an amazing journey around the country—we rode elephants in the jungles of Chiang Mai, we learned how to cook curry and Pad Kai Graprow, we escaped death driving motorbikes along tuk tuks, we visited temples with Buddahs big and small, we bargained for clothes in Bangkok, we found peace in beachfront bungalows in Koh Phang Yen, and we volunteered to aid post-tsunami wreckage in Koh Phi Phi. What an adventure.
6. What is your favorite travel quote?
“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away.” – Anonymous
7. Is there any music that inspires you to travel?
Every trip has its own tone and “theme song.” I love that about travel. Just like the radio, you can dial up a trip that fits your mood and then dance to the rhythm of the music.
8. What is your craziest true travel story?
That time I was in a reality TV show on Outside TV and had to camp overnight on the snow in the Colorado backcountry the middle of winter and then climb up a mountain with 50 pounds of gear on my back while producing a short film in a matter of days…yeah, that happened!
9. How do you think that travel videos can be useful to travelers, even if they aren’t filmmakers themselves?
Travel video can take you to a place way faster than an airplane. It gives you the feel of a place without the time and expense of going there. And, hopefully, the moments you see on screen will inspire you to set out on an adventure you can call your own.
10. What is the goal/philosophy of your videos?
I aim to produce informative and entertaining travel content that inspires viewers to jump out of their seat and explore this amazing planet, too. Let’s go!
11. What advice do you have for someone who wants to make travel videos?
Do it! If you love to have new experiences and document your adventures, grab your camera and let the magic happen! While making travel videos can be tons of fun, just remember, there’s no need to capture EVERYTHING. Think carefully about how you want to tell your story before you hit the red “record” button. Avoid having too much footage at the end of the day and only roll camera when everything is perfect!
12. What is your best travel tip?
Have fun. Prepare for the unexpected. Enjoy those little moments that are less than perfect, they will make for a great story.
Denver Restaurant Week is baaaack! For the first time ever, Denver's favorite annual food fest is back for a second time this year! This summer celebration lets you sample multi-course meals from hundreds of restaurants all around the city for just thirty bucks! Don't forget to make your reservations to dine during the week of August 23-29 at http://denverrestaurantweek.com.

This year, I had the pleasure of filming the Aspen Aids Benefit Fashion show for a real spectacle on the runway! Much of the magic happened behind the scenes at Salon Myo, one of Aspen's newest, hottest hair salons. Models, makeup artists and hairdressers filled the space for hours leading up to the event, pumping out stunning looks left and right. The sleek pulled back ponies combined with big astro-puffs were quite mesmerizing--and even more fun to see on stage. The music, dancing and the outfits made for quite a masterpiece! I was lucky to be a part of such a great event, for a darn good cause. Check out my video here:
Here's to a snowy winter in Colorado! This season, I've been knee deep in powder covering Colorado's wintertime playground for Colorado Ski Country! In a few short months, I visited ski resorts all over the state and captured all the fun on film. From Opening Day at A-Basin to the silly Spring Skiing Shenanigans at Monarch, it's been quite a ride--I'm talking heliboarding at Silverton, Cat Skiing at Ski Cooper, and Mogul Maddness at Winter Park. Take a peek at all Colorado has to offer in the snow.

Recently, I've had the unique opportunity to travel around the state in search of ski resorts! Along the way, I've been lucky to stumble upon some really cool Colorado towns. On my trip to Wolf Creek, I discovered some spectacular scenery, a wonderful change compared to the traffic of I-70.
Not far from Wolf Creek Ski Resort, about four or five hours from Denver, I arrived in Pagosa Springs! Known for their hot spring pools, I enjoyed putting my VIP pass to good use and soaking in the hottest waters I could find. A stark contrast to the winter cold, the soothing mineral water was a real treat to my aching muscles.
Each with a unique name and temperature, one of my favorite pools was located across the lagoon--like a private 'castle of a hot tub' overlooking the property. I also really enjoyed the ones on the cliff, that overlooked the river. Great fun day or night!
While in Pagosa, I learned there are not one, not two, but three breweries in town! Riff Raff Brewing Company, was a great spot to chow down on a lamb burger and enjoy a Cherry Pomegranite Ale. It was also an easy spot to watch the sunset turn into a moon rise. Beautiful!
Pagosa Springs is peppered with colorful art shops and spectacular scenery...and it's all easy on the eyes. Just driving around town was a treat to be greeted with the incredible snow-capped San Juan Mountains behind. But, don't be fooled, the shops have a somewhat casual schedule for open hours.
Next time you're in Southern Colorado, enjoy skiing at Wolf Creek and swing by Pagosa Springs for a great mix of mountain fun and relaxation.

There's nothing like the feeling of stepping out of your comfort zone and challenging yourself to take on something new. It's scary, it's intense and it's a rush. But tackling adventure took on a whole new meaning after watching these brave women set their sights on what some would call the unthinkable. Rather than spend their days spinning around town in a wheelchair, and they leapt out of their chairs to go zip lining, kayaking and horseback riding--what a thrill! Camp Discovery invites women who are full time wheel chair users to spend the weekend in Colorado, connecting with others, and pushing themselves to the limits, always to be rewarded with great success. Every year, I carve out a special time in my schedule to return to Vail to teach snowboarding. There's nothing better than being outdoors, feeling the snow under foot, wind in my hair, and getting paid to tour the mountain with happy people on vacation! I love meeting new people and teaching them some sweet snowboard skills to build confidence on the mountain.
The week between Christmas and New Years is one of the busiest times of year. There's plenty of hustle and bustle in this ski town. I always look forward to the New Years Eve festivities. We always ski down the mountain with flaming road flares in our hands as part of the big holiday torchlight parade and fireworks show. For me, that usually means one road flare, and one GoPro in hand. :P
Take a peek at my Christmas present to myself! Ready to roam the roads of Colorado this winter! :) Vroom Vroom!
