What a wonderful picture and a wonderful time. I'm so pleased to be reminded of our time in paradise and the beach. ;) I met Brian and the gang while traveling in Thailand (September 2005). We were volunteering to clean up the beach on Phi Phi Island, just after the 2004 Tsunami. The beach was soiled with large pieces of concrete, glass, plastic and even what's left of this bed mattress, surely unsuitable for swimming. We dug up tires and wall frames and lord knows what during the day and supported the local economy in the evenings. It was a great time to be young, to be independent, to meet other travelers, and to make a difference. Thailand will always have a special place in my heart and this picture reminds me of that.
