Juliana is a freelance video journalist, talented on both sides of the camera. She is an experienced producer, writer, shooter and editor, and she sparkles on screen as an on-air host. Whether working on a big production or creating pieces as a one-man band, Juliana loves the creative process of television production.
Widely known as TravelingJules, Juliana loves to travel and naturally documents her experiences with video, pictures and words. Some of her wildest travel assignments have led her to film inside the inner circle of Stonehenge in England and high above the bubbling hot magma of the Kilauea Volcano in Hawaii. Juliana also stars in a series of travel videos on Viator.com, where she explores some of the top things to do in North America. On top of the list, she recounts wine tasting in Napa and Sonoma Valley in San Francisco, rafting down the Colorado River at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, learning how to make gumbo in New Orleans, and cliff jumping in Kona. Juliana also completed a 4,500 mile cross-country road trip reporting on the 'Most Fun' small towns in America as part of Rand McNally and USATODAY's Best of the Road competition. She belly danced with the locals in Yellow Springs, OH, sat on Santa's lap in Santa Claus, IN, and flew through the sky by paraglide in Glenwood Springs, CO--all while capturing the adventure for a nationwide audience.
Juliana maintains an impressive travel blog, which was featured in Budget Travel Magazine in 2008. She shares stories about traveling and living abroad--telling tales of motorbiking in South East Asia, camping through the African wilderness, snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef, celebrating over steins at Munich's Oktoberfest, twirling with Turkish Dervishes and hiding in a sea of Koreans. |  |
When Juliana is not filming and photographing the world, she is tearing up the mountain on her snowboard. She loves shredding the gnar, making fresh tracks on a big powder day, weaving through the trees, riding rails and carving up the halfpipe! She is a fully certified snowboard instructor and spokesperson for Vail Snowsports School. 
She starred in several snowboarding tips commercials on CNN. Juliana enjoys teaching first time riders through advanced shredders, and she also trains new instructors.Juliana got an early start in the world of television. When she was nine years old, she starred in a local television commercial, and knew she wanted to work in TV. As a teenager, she landed a prestigious 5 year work-study internship at KCNC CBS4 Denver and worked in every department at the station throughout high school and college. Juliana graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in Advertising / Journalism.
